Job Description:

  • Takes responsibility for the definition, documentation and execution of multiple small to medium sized projects, or managing a product line, actively leading all phases of the project/product delivery.
  • Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.  Lead team, scope problems and liaise with suppliers both internal and external. 
  • Ensure that all activities comply with relevant Operating model procedures, including Service Management, Project Lifecycle Methodology, InfoSecurity, Audit & Control Standards.
  • Owns overall responsibility for Project Delivery that is On-Schedule, within Budget and delivers an outcome that is outlined in the approved Scope.
  • Effectively estimates and manages costs and project expediture, timescales and resource requirements.
  • Proactively escalates Risks & Issues, and facilitates dialog that addresses complicated project level issues.
  • Responsible for Stakeholder Management that communicates plans, priorities, and project status to relevant stakeholders, steering committee, executive sponsor, and project team.
  • Provides leadership to project teams (Analysts, Tech Ops, Solution Designers, Service Management etc.), ensuring that stretching business objectives are set and achieved and personal development objectives are fully supported.
  • Coaches and mentors project teams, and performs Project On-Board and side by side coaching with new contractors and employees
  • Reports and maintains key information on the current status of all projects and provides project visibility to management in a common and consistent manner
  • Manages the change control procedure for major changes, gaining agreement for revisions to the production environment from business system owners.
  • Facilitate release planning based on roadmap priorities, available capacity and dependencies
  • Ensures that projects are closed out and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured and actioned.  Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes.
  • Define, agree and implement process improvements based on project delivery performance 

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
 
  • B.SC or Industrial Management (or equivalent)
  • Prince2 / PMP / Scrum (or equivalent)
  • M.B.A – an advantage
  • Experience of working within a variety of project frameworks and methodologies, delivering Application, online (with significant traffic) and Mobile projects.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in managing IT related business projects which involve multiple activities and streams of people from both IT and business teams, ideally in a high transaction e-commerce organization.
  • The ability to use automated tools to assist in the project management process, by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing, and time recording e.g. Microsoft Project.
  • Proven ability to manage/lead non co-located diverse teams and manage 3rd party supplier.
  • Knowledge of online gambling & gaming industry desirable.

  • Provides timely and direct feedback to others regarding performance against project objectives
  • Ability to quickly understand new business process areas, functional requirements and technologies in order to successfully lead projects
