A leading provider of landscape design, installation and estate management services to both private and public-sector organisations throughout the UK is seeking a Bid Manager to join its team in the Derby area.The company operates across a broad spectrum of the construction industry which includes new build, renovation and maintenance services on both commercial and domestic sites and ongoing maintenance projects. Clients include local authorities, housing associations, house builders, developers, highways, shopping centres, industrial estates, parks and outdoor spaces etc.As the Bid Manager your duties will include:• Leading the creation of high-quality PQQ and documents, including writing and editing content (text and graphics) and document production.• Ensuring people resources are available to attend client presentations, interviews and site visits as required.• Management of documentation production, including championing best practice and planning and organisation and ensuring compliance with the business development process, style and brand guidance.• Gaining an in-depth understanding of clients strategies and vision to maximise submission conversions.• Identifying opportunities via OJEU / trade publications and pre-existing industry contacts.• Gaining stakeholder approval and commitments to suitable commercial opportunities.• Developing and continually updating a compelling group library.• Ensuring pipeline is up to date and accurate.• Reviewing the business with the Commercial Director on a regular basis to ensure that business goals are being achieved.• Coordinating and developing formation, striving for continual improvement.• Building and developing relationships with the operational teams.• Developing processes and procedures, ensuring they are fully adhered to once operational.• Gathering specific information relating to tenders of strategic commercial interest, that may have significant benefit for the long term.• Obtaining client feedback and take any form of corrective action to benefit from such feedback.• Utilising all existing company systems and make recommendations for enhancements that provide competitive advantages.To be a successful Bid Manager you will have the following skills and experience:• Detailed knowledge and experience of providing construction / maintenance services and procurement.• Bid management, including document editing / production and process management.• A clear understanding of the bid process within local authorities.• Coordination of diverse teams.• Direct team management.• Computer literacy.• Experience of construction / maintenance / building environment and relevant sectors, experience within the landscaping and grounds maintenance sector would be advantageous but is not a specific requirement.In return the Manager will receive a salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 for this role which is negotiable based on experience and earning expectations, a company car or car allowance, bonus scheme and enrolment into company pension scheme.
