If you’re passionate about waste water process then you could make a difference to a lot of peoples’ lives.

We are looking for a Waste Water Process Lead who has the ability to support the business to ensure final effluent quality is compliant with regulatory standards by monitoring performance. Working proactively and collaboratively to develop measures to address current and future risks. Offering practical guidance and recommendation for reactive events and investigating the root causes to prevent reoccurrence. Managing the regulator relationship and preparing the business for future regulator and permit changes. The Waste Water Process lead will lead the optimisation of waste water treatment processes across all Severn Trent treatment sites for both quality and cost. You will complete incident responses and lead investigations into day to day performance issues and failures at all waste water treatment sites to identify the root cause and mitigating actions with support from the Regional Service Delivery Managers (overnight stay may be required but not all the time) but you’ll be able to manage your own work load. This includes the delivery of actions as well as identifying actions for internal stakeholders to complete. You will be expected to have a broad understanding of the operation and maintenance of waste water treatment processes and sciences around it. Understanding of the Lifecycle investment programme. The role holder will have the ability to differentiate good and bad operational practice, understand the nature of the standards to which we operate and how operations may impact on those standards, so having a good knowledge and understanding of Environment Agency and EU regulations and how they apply to waste water treatment is key in this role. It would be great if you’ve worked in a waste water process, have an awareness of MCERT self-monitoring of flow responsibilities. The ability to understand and complete complex scientific calculations to optimise both quality and cost obligations. We would love if you was Educated to degree level or equivalent in scientific discipline is essential, or BTEC in Water Supply or its equivalent C&G certificate Level 3 is desirable and if not held would be part of the Development Plan for the role holder.
