Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Android App Developer to gain practical experience within this ground-breaking host company in the development of an exciting new product. Mentored throughout, you will assist in the development of an app to interact with an intelligent bicycle light aimed at making cycling safer and cities smarter. This would be an ideal placement for a cycling enthusiast to make a huge contribution to the cycling world as well as providing a real boost to future career prospects.

• Take a leading role in development of our Android mobile application
• Prototype new functionality
• Restructure existing code using cutting edge technologies 
• Create automated unit tests for the mobile applications
• Help maintain our Continuous Integration Platforms
• Ensure good coding practices
• Help with planning and scoping releases

Personal Skills
Essential Skills/Criteria

• Excellent programming skills, variety of languages considered
• Android development experience (Java or Kotlin)
• Ability to solve problems
• Passionate about programming and technology
• Knowledge of at least one source control system (GIT, Mercurial or similar)
Good to have but not essential
• iOS development experience (Objective-C or Swift)
• Knowledge of Continuous Integrations systems (Gitlab or Jenkins)
