International Medical Advisor -Rare Disease- Surrey



As an international Medical Advisor you will be supporting the novel treatment which will be a game changer in the medical care, but you will be that person who contributes to the health and well-being of people around the world!



Advanced antibody engineering techniques have extensive applications in the fields of immunology, biotechnology, diagnostics, and many therapeutic medicines. Using this exciting technology My client has opened a new horizon by creating the production of antibodies against targeted antigens to fight mild to severe diseases.

We are looking for a Medical Affairs professional who has experience in Rare Disease therapy area to support development of the pipelines, which soon will deliver the extraordinary antibody-based treatment to treat the most rare diseases.

As an International Medical Advisor you will be providing medical and scientific ability to the cross-functional Franchise Team and its international partners. With this role you will have lots of autonomy and a possibility to bring in your own initiative and professional experience to the business. As a cross-functional role you will work closely with other departments such as sales and marketing, market access, public affairs, regulatory affairs, Pharmacovigilance and clinical development to give specialist knowledge and authoritative opinions while operating in a commercial way to support the business and its products globally.



Key requirements:

• Qualified medical doctor or PhD (medical, biology, chemistry, biochemistry) with at least 4 years post qualification experience
• Post qualification speciality memership (MRCP, MRCS, MRCGP etc.)
• Medical knowledge in the rare disease therapy area
• Industry experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not essential
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to informally lead, manage, and motivate others in a complex, multi-functional, multi-national matrix environment
• Demonstrated ability to organize and lead expert Clinical Research Advisory Panels
