Business Development Manager – ERP Solutions / South East, UK

A UK leading IT Services and Applications provider is searching to appoint a Business Development Manager to join their business to cover a South East territory. The company are looking to further expand their operations in the ERP and Financial Services Software space, and with it appoint a proven Sales Consultant with a focus on acquiring new business across their applications portfolio which encompasses Microsoft Dynamics and Sage ERP solutions.

This position would be ideal for someone who has spent an amount of time acquiring new ERP solutions business within the upper-midmarket and corporate segments of the UK marketplace; operating in a full 360 sales capacity from opportunity generation through to close. Experience of working with other IT Services and Solutions would also be advantageous.


* To identify, develop and maximise opportunities for new business development of the ERP Solutions portfolio
* Demonstrate the wider ERP and Technology product and services suite at off-site customer meetings
* Collaborate with internal technical teams and specialists to assist in product demonstration and to drive ROI-based arguments
* Control the full sales process from prospecting and opportunity generation, through to proposal, negotiation and close.
* Plan effectively and track progress against targets on an ongoing basis to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets.

What we’re looking for

* Strong level of business, commercial and technical acumen around ERP solutions at a sales level, and must be able to demonstrate this through experience
* Broad understanding of IT Solutions and the competitive landscape
* Track record in the sale of ERP solutions to the Upper Midmarket and Corporate Segments within the UK market.
* Understanding of the sales lifecycle from customer reviews to delivery and support, with ability to progress opportunities through to close
* Good negotiation skills with the ability to identify opportunities to cross and up sell additional revenue opportunities and drive value-based arguments for products and services.
