Clark James are seeking an experienced Compliance Auditor for a leading processing facility in Lincolnshire. Our client are a New Zealand based company with businesses in Australasia, Asia, Europe and Americas. Their Lincolnshire site was established in 1996 and has recently opened a new processing facility at their existing Caistor site, currently employing a skilled workforce of 200. Our client have also become a part of a local group who are specialists in producing the unique and authentic taste of Grimsby Traditional Smoked Fish, the region’s most prestigious delicacy. The Compliance Auditor will be responsible for ensuring the company actively challenge food safety, legality and quality across all aspects of product manufacture at both their Caistor & Grimsby sites. Flexibility is priority in this role as each individual will be called upon as and when required to work out of hours, bank holidays, provide holiday cover and work a late shift to ensure business and production demands are met. Responsibilities and DutiesSite flexibilityBy rotation, each individual will be required to work in all production units including raw material intake. Raw materialsIntake checks when required (out of hours, late shift, off site, holiday cover etc)Gathering samples for technical testing Production supportDrive food safety, legality and quality systems improvements (HACCP, traceability, supplier control)Communication, monitoring and validation of effective process standardsImplementation and enforcement of company policies and proceduresPro-active auditing throughout the siteDriving quality, food safety and hygiene improvements via auditing and trainingCarry out technical investigations and provide technical adviceCarry out routine QA activities (e.g. check incoming goods, temperature probing of deliveries, calibration, positive release etc.)Attendance at meetings with other technical auditors to discuss relevant issuesInvestigate root cause correctly and implement the right corrective action when and where required ensuring that all information is fed back to the Compliance Manager Finished ProductPrepare and carry out daily taste panels logging all information as required and ensuring root cause analysis is carried out correctly and corrective action is implemented when and where required ensuring that all information is fed back to the Compliance ManagerAudit CCP checks on-line and validate metal detection checks to comply with food safety/HACCP requirementsProvide finished product samples for microbiological testingRestrict any product that does not reach company quality attributes or CSL safety specification TransportCarry out random hygiene and temperature checksReport any defects found from random checks Cost Saving OpportunitiesWork as a team to identify and review cost saving opportunities Qualifications, Personal and Skills· Typical background and qualifications to competently perform the responsibilities of the roleCan work as part of a teamExcellent written and oral communication skillsBroad business knowledge and understandingComputer literate advanced levelPragmatic approach to problem solving in a timely fashionPositive/personable attitude at all timesHighly self-awareOwnership and responsibility for achieving personal growth and development for selfFlexible working shiftsFood safety level 3 certificate Liability and DisclaimerThe information contained in our advert including any salary or on target earnings information is given in good faith and Clark James Ltd uses all reasonable efforts to ensure that it is accurate.
