Clark James are working on behalf of a world leading design and manufacturer of new equipment, refurbishment machinery and ancillary products primarily for the food processing and confectionary industries, who are seeking an Technical Sales Executive to strengthen their company’s sales team. As Technical Sales Executive, you will be reporting directly to the Sales Director and be responsible for maintaining and developing new customers throughout the United Kingdom. Although being office based, the role will require the suitable candidate to travel extensively throughout the UK on business trips, as well as the occasional overseas travel. Key responsibilities of the Technical Sales Executive will include, but not be limited to:· Developing strong technical understanding of a wide range of products, their benefits and characteristics, and communicate the information clearly and concisely to customers· Prepare detailed, yet concise presentations and quotations, tailored specifically to match customer requirements· Proactively manage and increase profitable sales to the countries they are responsible for, developing the customer base further· Working closely with the New Business Specialist to progress sales leads To be considered for the International Technical Sales Executives position, the suitable candidate will need the following skills, qualifications & experiences:· Strong technical background and/or the ability to learn and understand new technologies· Communicate technical features quickly & accurately· Proven track history of consistent sales, meeting & exceeding targets· Skilful & proficient IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook· Able to listen to customers’ requirements, and adapt appropriately by being flexible and creative in order to close the sale· Strong negotiation skills, with entrepreneurial spirit, commercial awareness and strategic thinking· Be familiar with export sales & understand the fundamentals· Be organised and proactive, have excellent time management skills· Professional verbal and written skills, with ability to communicate clearly at all times It would be highly advantageous if you have experience with the packaging machinery industry, hold a technical/engineering degree or vocational engineering qualifications, along with experience of CRM systems Liability and DisclaimerThe information contained in our advert including any salary or on target earnings information is given in good faith and Clark James Ltd uses all reasonable efforts to ensure that it is accurate.
