Job TitleLearner Engagement ExecutiveLocation:Watford OfficeWorking Hours:8.30 am to 5.00 pm OR 9.00 am to 5.30 pm1 hour lunch Monday to Friday37.5 hours per weekReports to:Head of Technology TrainingSalary Band:£20-£24,000 per annum pro rata Purpose of JobTCHC has a requirement for a LearnerEngagement Executive who will be responsible for overseeing the placement of young people and apprentices with local employers in the Digital and Information Technology Sector. They will work to develop excellent relationships with local employers to ensure that TCHC maximise the relationship for the benefit of all parties. Main Tasks & ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will have a proven track record of networking with employers, they will be an excellent communicator who can present at all levels within an organisation. They must also be able to understand and communicate effectively with young people. You will play a pivotal part in recruiting and placing young people with local employers onto our Digital Apprenticeship programmes.Interview candidates by phone and in person to determine their suitability for the Apprenticeship and/or Employer placementWork within a team to engage applications and progress against performance targetsEnsure that selected applicants are prepared for employment particularly those without an employer and ensure they have all the tools, CVs and Employability Skills required.Working closely with Recruitment Executives and Gateway Team within the business around learner transitionSupport candidates with employability and guidance sessions in preparation for Apprenticeship employment placements. Skills and Attributes EssentialDesirable Qualifications Educated to ‘A’ Level or above, or with a relevant NVQ, or comparable relevant experience or training.√ Knowledge / Technical Skills Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint – intermediate competency required.√ Proven business development abilities and experience of working in a target-driven environment√ Experience of presenting at various levels, particularly to young people√ Proven networking skills√ Ability to organise and prioritise large workloads for different projects to ensure timely funding submissions√ Experience of working with young people and offering advice and guidance√ Experience and knowledge of interviewing√ A full, clean drivers licence, access to own vehicle √ Experience Previous experience of working in a busy training or recruitment team. General knowledge about types of training provider – colleges, higher education, independent, etc.√ Personal Attributes Excellent communication skills – pleasant and professional manner - well-spoken – clear, intelligible; good standard of written communication – grammar and spelling. √ Discretion & Confidentiality – ability to demonstrate and exercise discretion and confidentiality in terms of all data and data subjects; high level of sensitivity to and awareness of parameters of role, as well team and wider relationships.√ Team-player – ability to work effectively within the designated team and wider head office support teams√ Organisation & Motivation – able to work in a structured manner, prioritising tasks and coping with peaks and troughs calmly and responsibly, and to target/timelines.√ Flexible, adaptable and resourceful – ability to respond according to tasks and situations appropriately as they arise√ Commitment & Time-Keeping – able to demonstrate full attendance and punctuality within the designated hours of the role√ Personal Appearance – Smart and presentable at all times.√ Note: These duties are a guide to the work the post holder will initially be required to undertake.
