Do you have what it takes to be the Head of social care and psychological support?

We provide specialist palliative care and support for people in our local community. We are currently celebrating 40 years of delivering exceptional care to patients and their families. In 2017 we were awarded ‘Outstanding’ by CQC.

We have expanded our services in recent years and we are continually growing and improving. These are exciting times at Dorothy House with the launch of our long-term strategy and investment in our patient and family services.

We are looking for an experienced social worker and manager to play a key role in leading and developing the social, psychological and spiritual support we provide pre- and post-bereavement to patients, families, carers and children.

Your outstanding characteristic must be that you are a dynamic, highly motivated individual who wants to make a difference both personally and professionally to patients and families. Managing a team of committed professionals and volunteers, you will have an excellent track record in leadership and service development and be a strong advocate for the emotional and practical support that patients & families need at the end of life. As safeguarding lead for the organisation, you will also have the ability to think through complex cases and offer professional advice and direction.

Based in Winsley close to Bath, we offer a beautiful work location within a very supportive values based environment. There are enhanced payments for weekend and Bank Holiday working, a pension package, including NHS pension if already contributing and a welcoming, professional working environment with plenty of opportunity for development.

SALARY: £40832 – £48999 pro rata, per annum

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

CLOSING DATE: Thursday 26th April 2018

Additional Salary Info: 27 days annual leave and access to the pension scheme
