Do you work in regulatory compliance? Are you open to new roles? If you are Core-Asset Consulting client, a boutique asset management house, has a permanent opportunity for a Compliance Consultant. This is a varied permanent position based in Edinburgh city centre.

Within your role you would be responsible for ensuring that the department assists the firm in complying with its regulatory responsibilities and that it is managing its regulatory risks appropriately.

Essential:

* Educated to degree standard/ or good academic record.
* Minimum of 3 years compliance experience within the investment management industry
* Excellent communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Self-motivated
* Ability to assimilate and analyse information
* Logical approach
* Understanding of the UK regulatory regime

Core Responsibilities:

* The Compliance Consultant aids the Head of Regulatory and Operational Risk in relation to all regulatory matters.
* Review of regulatory developments and assess the impact.
* Manage the implementation of regulatory changes across the group.
* Participation in business projects to provide regulatory and operational risk input.
* Provide regulatory advice to the business as required.
* Provide reporting to Committees and Boards on areas of responsibility.
* Maintain the incident management process and be responsible for following up and reporting on all incidents.
* Maintain the group compliance manual.
* Provide regulatory oversight of outsourced service providers.
* Review and sign off financial promotions
* Responsible for New client take on including completion of AML documentation.
* Development of regulatory and operational risk MI to the firm and assist in development of standard MI for the business
* Provision of regulatory training to the business as required.
