PERNAMENT ROLE 37.5 HOURS A WEEK-£12.78ph - DAYS AND NIGHTS SHIFTS



We are looking for Tug Drivers to join our team within our site at West Thurrock on behalf of a multinational manufacturer of product ranges including family, personal and household care products.



The role is paying up to £12.78 per hour and will be shift work.

This depot runs a 24/7 operation (except from Sunday 06:00 to Saturday 18:00)

You will average 13 shifts every 4 weeks, broken down as 7 days and 6 nights.



Day shifts start at 06:00 and finish at 18:00

Night shifts start at 18:00 and finish at 06:00



The Role:



* To work within the guidelines of the company’s safety culture, ensuring the safety of themselves and their colleagues at all times.
* To shunt trailers and containers around the site and to off site premises
* Applying safety equipment to trailers
* Perform yard checks
* Directing drivers to correct bays for loading and tipping
* Using the snow plough and salt gritter when required
* Trailer inspections, reporting defects
* Site cleaning as and when required
* Curtain pulling and moving roof support bars at the West Site
* To work within the guidelines of the company’s safety culture, ensuring the safety of themselves and their colleagues at all times.
* To shunt trailers and containers around the site and to offsite premises
* Moving all vehicles that come on siteThis is a physical role where you will be mounting and dismount trailers and will involve curtain pulling.

Experience & Qualifications:

* You must hold a valid in date Class 1 licence
* You must hold a valid in date CPC licence
* You must not have more than 6 points on your licence
* Previous experience using shunting vehicle is an advantage
* Reliable and self-motivated
* Flexible approach to hours of work
* Conscientious
* Able to perform in a team environment
* Able to display commitment
* You will have a proactive and committed approach towards all aspects of the job and ensure high standards in health and safety; customer service and legal compliance are met and exceeded

Due to the nature of the work heavy lifting is required. It is therefore imperative that the successful applicant be physically fit.
