THE ROLEI am seeking a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER to join a large dynamic firm of construction and engineering consultants in their BIRMINGHAM office.Ideally you will be MRICS or MAPM or similarly chartered.Projects are very varied and generally of high value and initial projects are public sector based.A background of working for another firm of PQS/ PM consultants or multi disciplinary consultants is essential with a good understanding and experience in the construction industry.THE CLIENTOur client is a large successful firm of multi discipline construction and consultants.Their clients are in the private and public sectors.THE CANDIDATEYou will be a Senior Project Manager with around five years or more experience in the construction industry, who is ideally MRICS, MAPM or CIOB qualified with a construction / built environment degree and relevant experience.You may be working for another firm of UK firm of PQS / PM construction consultants or multi disciplinary firm of construction consultants. PLEASE NOTE that this client is NOT seeking people who have only been working for firms of contractors.Ideally you will already have worked on a range of high value building projects in the public sector and any experience of "Blue Light" projects preferred.You will be involved in running projects from inception to project delivery so experience of front end project management on high value construction projects is essential.You must be able to drive projects forward and "make things happen" for projects to complete on time and within budget.Good knowledge of various forms of UK building contracts and good experience of administering building contracts is essential.It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients.Salary is very negotiable plus pension, health insurance, life assurance etc.Please email your c.v. via this website or give me, Denise Neville a call for on 020 7613 5555 for an informal and confidential discussion.Please note that we always contact you prior to sending out your c.v. and we always speak about our clients, the role plus your aspirations.
