Do you have a strong background and knowledge of cash and asset reconciliations alongside proven analytical skills? If so, a new opportunity has arisen with a financial institution in Edinburgh for a contract lasting until the end of October 2018.

Core requirements:

* Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel including data manipulation, Vlookups and pivot tables
* Good working knowledge of reconciliation systems (CARS, Autorek etc)
* Excellent working knowledge of cash and asset reconciliations
* Understanding of CASS regulations (CASS 6 and 7)
* Experience of collating and reporting Management Information
* Strong communication skills
* Experience of working on projects and leading on projects for their area is desirable

Core responsibilities:

* Responsible to produce daily internal and external reconciliations and monthly nominee reconciliation, assigning breaks to relevant areas for investigation and resolution
* Oversight of reconciliation breaks and highlighting items of concern to Reconciliations Team Leader
* Maintain relationships with third parties responsible for providing statements of asset holdings
* Adhere to established processes and procedures
* Respond to incoming queries, ensuring they are answered accurately and on a timely basis
* Participate in projects which require input from or directly impact the team
* Undertaking root cause analysis and extrapolating trends and highlighting anomalies in the data.
* Preparation of management information
