About the role

To maintain, assess, diagnose, determine the most appropriate resolution and support any interruptions / issues to either the water service or sewage treatment process, and/or provide general installation and maintenance skills across a range of STS contracts on Water Compliance / O&M / Internal Contracting Organisation (ICO) contracts.

Key duties will include undertaking day to day inspection, repair and maintenance of water and wastewater assets to defined internal quality standards, providing quality daily job feedback to identify follow on work to minimise the avoidable failures for water quality and participate in an out-of-hours operational stand-by rota.

The successful candidate will be required to take part in a Standby rota as well as occasional weekend working.

Whats skills and experience you will need to succeed in this role:

Ideally coming for a utility background with experience in operating and maintaining water and wastewater assets. The successful candidate will also have experience in electrical maintenance and have good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety. Experience of working as a plant operator in a non-electrical position will also be advantageous.

You will bring to the team drive and motivation to achieve and deliver the best possible standards (both aesthetically and product quality), excellent communication skills to be able to provide support to both customers and colleagues with technical input when required and the ability to work independently or within a team. You will also have ideally gained a City & Guilds qualification and have knowledge of electrical regulation 17th edition.

It's vital that you have a full clean driving licence and be able to achieve a high level of security clearance.
