This is a newly created role in business that continues to grow and develop itself and its people. This Financial Reporting Control role has extra dimensions in terms of commerciality, visibility amongst senior stakeholders (building relationships at board level) and interacting with colleagues internationally.

Reporting to the Head of EMEA Financial Reporting and Control, this role will have responsibility for managing country and legal entity financial control and reporting EMEA non-UK branches and subsidiaries where these are centralised in a UK-based team. The role will also have responsibility for reporting for the broader EMEA region and liaising with other non-centralised teams across the region. This role requires senior leadership experience and influencing skills to ensure the team and the broader EMEA finance function can help shape the future of the business.

In the interview process the business will be looking for you to have demonstrable team management and change management experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of professional technical competence.

Core responsibilities:

* Support the Head of EMEA Financial Reporting and Control and the wider finance leadership in the delivery of the finance strategy, integration and future development and success of the finance function.
* Leadership of the overall core accounting, statutory, regulatory and internal reporting for the EMEA non-UK businesses managed by a centralised reporting team based in the UK.
* Management of a team of accountants with responsibilities aligned to specific countries
* Work with and support EMEA finance team operating outside of the UK in relation to budgeting, accounting and reporting change.
* Manage relationships and service standards with external service providers (Big 4)
* Manage monthly review and challenge meetings with all EMEA country finance heads ensuring all material variances are fully explained and understood Manage consolidated reporting requirements relevant to the EMEA regional management committee including monthly performance pack. Also, in relation to Board papers for non-UK branches.
* Provide regional oversight of capital, solvency and liquidity.
* Working along with other regional Finance teams, ensure that processes for internal recharges under Transfer Pricing are managed in a compliant and efficient way
* Provide strong leadership to ensure effective integration of legacy financial reporting processes, methodologies and systems within areas of responsibility.
* Work collegiately with management within the Financial Control and Reporting team and across the wider Finance division to ensure common goals and objectives are met.


* Qualified accountant with significant level of relevant post qualifying experience
* Experience in and detailed understanding of the fund management industry
* Track record of operating at a senior level of influence
* Detailed technical knowledge of financial and regulatory reporting requirements
