Where does this role fit in?

As a Quality Assurance Tester, you’ll be manually testing software and systems across a multitude of technologies, as an integral part of ITG’s eCRM deliverables and omni-channel marketing campaigns.

As a business, we use data to create personalised digital marketing communications for some big brands, including the TUI Travel Group, Virgin Media, and ASICS, to name but a few. For many of these, we use Microsoft SQL Server Databases to store our clients’ customer information, we then segment that data to create ultra-targeted campaigns to help our clients sell more. Simple!

Beyond that, we run a number of IT Projects looking at the wider eCRM deliverables of our clients. Working to improve their marketing automation to create more efficient campaigns.

As a QA Tester, you’ll be looking at any of the technologies we work with to make sure that any activity is going to run smoothly. You’ll be analysing project documentation to determine the scope of testing and identify potential anomalies. You’ll then define the rest requirement, cases, and data according to that scope.

After that, comes the fun part, executing, and recording the tests and then working in collaboration with Solution Architects, Developers, and Business Analysts to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise.

Am I the right person for the job?

Now this one may come as a shock to you, but we’re looking for someone with experience in a manual testing environment, working across the full software life cycle (unit, integration, regression, functional, system, and acceptance). You’ve worked across different technology platforms, predominantly though you’ll be adept and reading complex SQL scripts involving multiple tables. Data is the heart of our activities, we’d like you to already understand the importance of data quality, data profiling, dimensional modelling and data warehousing. You’ll need this to succeed.

As a person, you thrive working in a collaborative environment, you’ve got a keen eye for detail (what tester doesn’t?), and you’re comfortable working in an Agile environment. In the back of your mind you’re always thinking about the client delivery. You want to make sure that work is completed on time, and to the best of your abilities to avoid hold up in system releases.
