This top European studio is looking for a Marketing Manager/ Director to be responsible for the North American Market. We are looking for someone who is a strategic planner, extremely well organized, detail oriented – able to work on his own with a headquarter in a different time zone


This position is challenging and multifaceted. You will be helping to develop, lead and implement a North America strategy that ties into the global marketing and communication objectives. As the Marketing Manager / Marketing Director you will be responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market publishing plans for the  franchise. The role will report directly to the VP Global Marketing and will work closely with the HQ.


Key Duties:


* You’ll be turned to as the market expert, possessing full understanding of launching the AAA titles, with deep marketing knowledge about target audience, and the critical business KPI’s necessary to define, create and maintain gaming / entertainment experiences for our fans.

* Through your expert understanding of our products and customers, you’ll partner with studio marketing and development team to lead the creation of highly creative region specific go-to market publishing plans focusing on player engagement, franchise awareness but also acquisition and monetization of new consumers.

* Actively manage the region specific program marketing budget, providing business rationale and ROI for proposed program spending and meticulous tracking of expenses incurred.

* Provide thorough post-mortem campaign analysis effectively sharing insights into the health of each business, the impact of our marketing activities and recommendation for future program engagement and budget spending.

* Continually learn about our consumers and the world of AAA titles to adopt the insight to forthcoming new releases and maintain game awareness. 




* Work closely with HQ to ensure marketing and PR plan aligns with sales and distribution strategy including retail channel

* Develop and execute with HQ off-line and on-line marketing strategy, including to line media support and public relations.

* Work with North American distributor partner  to create and execute in-store activations and coop initiatives.

* Manage and work with dedicated PR agency to meet brand goals.

* Manage marketing budget.

* Offer hands-on support for all PR and marketing events.

* Participate to tradeshows to attend media and in support of event team

* Actively participate in North American sales meetings with accounts

* Build revenue and ROI goals aligned with studio business goals.

* Use insights and player data along with lifestyle and satisfaction measures to predict and trend customer behaviour that drives brand/channel/engagement strategies.

* Craft impact reports using key metrics and measurements to learn from programs and build on the results.

* Position requires 20% travelling including travels overseas




5+ years relevant experience in marketing, preferably within the video game industry or another competitive consumer products environment

* Clear consumer-focus and an understanding of the target market for AAA games

* Strong creative skills, including the ability to generate campaign ideas

* Team player able to collaborate and interface with a wide range of partners, both internally and externally

* Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously while making sure every detail is seen to

* Strong quantitative skills, particularly in the context of budget and project management

* Strong analytic skills and the ability to establish and appropriately evaluate core business KPIs
