Our Medellín office started in the north part of the city in an amazing and eco-friendly building called Ruta N, known as the center of innovation for the city. It was created by the 3 major public entities of the city to promote the development of innovative technology-based businesses. After two years, after growing our team here in Medellín, we had the necessity to move to a bigger office, we are currently located on the other side of the city in the upscale neighborhood El Poblado, where now we have an amazing view of the whole entire city!

What Is It All About?

It is our mission to become a top 3 player in our focus markets. North America and Mexico are two of them. Our marketing strategy is focused on the generation of Sales Qualified Leads. We are generating them by utilizing 3 main channels; online, events and print.

Our objective is to identify everyone in this buying cycle. When somebody isn’t ready to make a software purchase yet, we identify them as a Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL). We try to connect with those prospects by educating them on their challenges and offering them content like Ebooks, Infographics and webinars. With short lead nurturing flows, we try to convert these MQLs into SQLs in a later stage.

As our Marketing Manager Americas you are translating and localizing this marketing strategy to our markets in N/S America. You will work on many facets of marketing, to make an informed decision on how to reach our prospects, how to convert them into qualified leads and how to engage with our customers.

You will work closely together with the Sales and Client Success team in Medellin to make this into a success. Next to that you will be involved in the overall marketing strategy of Virtuagym.

In your role you will hierarchically report to the Marketing Director at our HQ in Amsterdam but will have to work closely together with local management within Sales and Client Success in Medellin.

This role has a lot of freedom and potential to create and shape our commercial success.

Your Responsibilities

  • As part of the marketing team you will execute our local (online) strategy and roadmap.
  • Implement marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing local developments, competition and possibilities; translate our proven marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives to a plan that fits the local market;
  • Coordinating marketing projects and activities as part of the execution of our marketing roadmap.
  • Plan, implement and manage the local company’s marketing budget allocation.
  • Gather input from sales, marketing, customers and associations to craft targeted field marketing campaigns that tap into specific needs and opportunities
  • Localize our content strategy. Translate, formulate and implement content into our marketing (automation) campaigns.Identify needs and opportunities for our lead nurture flows to improve our “funnel performance” by looking for content- and funnel optimization activities.
  • Track competitor activity by keeping abreast of market changes and the marketing mix used by competitors
  • Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
  • Assist and prepare local trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
  • Coordinate Virtuagym’s attendance at multiple events around North America and establish relationships with influencers and thought leaders.

Job Requirements:

Who are you?

  • Education in Marketing management, Economics, Business Management or comparable.
  • Strong project management skills (we work in sprints) with the ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous, multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Able to Make decision using Data. An approach of “Data first, actions second “
  • You have an analytical approach. The first question you ask yourself when looking at data or behavior is “why?”
  • A pragmatic approach is part of your nature to take concepts and ideas through implementation into action.
  • The ability to think outside the box and experiment with new approaches to accomplish our goals.
  • You have a high attention to detail
  • An independent and proactive mindset
  • Approachable and sociable attitude
  • Strong verbal communication skills (both written and verbally) in English

Your experience

  • You have proven experience in the field of online marketing.
  • Google Analytics is one of your first bookmarks in your browser.
  • You know what it takes to bring ideas from concept to implementation.
  • Search Engine Optimization and -Advertising is no secret to you.
  • Bonus Points For
    • Experience with Wordpress, Hubspot and Adwords
