**KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE** The Service Supplier Manager has responsibility for the Operational management of internal suppliers, delivering service within MCS. The role holder will ensure maximum value is delivered from suppliers, through effective performance management and continuous improvement activities, in line with agreed processes and standards. The objectives of Service Supplier Management are: + Manage, measure and improve internal supplier performance and relationship + Reduce the risk and cost of procured products and services through co-working with Commercial and Finance + Maintain internal consistency of approach and remove supplier confusion + Use a standard toolset aligned to the Supplier relationship categories - Strategic, Performance and Contract. + Ensure the delivery of seamless quality live service. + Look for insourcing opportunities **Key Responsibilities:** + Performance management of suppliers delivering services within MCS + Facilitate an effective KPI measurement mechanism to bench mark internal supplier performance. + Analyse, identify and drive performance improvement opportunities via supplier agreed rigorous action plans. + Maximise value from the supplier relationship to optimise overall contract benefit. + Managing the flow down of penalties to the Suppliers + Working closely with commercial management teams to support the creation of fit for purpose underpinning service suppliers contracts + Working closely with commercial management teams to support the continual improvement in service schedule content and negotiate effectively with suppliers. + Managing the operational service review meetings, ensuring full representation from the operations directorates.. + Ensures all Suppliers have an agreed reporting, governance and meeting structure in place relational to the size and complexity of the contract arrangements + Manage a virtual team of people aligned by supplier type/contract to face off singularly to agreed suppliers to operate the performance governance structure + Works with Service Management teams to ensure solid escalation, risk and issue management is in place per supplier. + Drives continuous improvement with the suppliers to drive out systemic issues, risks, issues, problems, operational process issues and an effective supply chain. + Works with the Commercial and Service Directorate to realise opportunities on cost down activities to lower UK Service Operations cost base + Work closely with Service Introduction to ensure any new supplier relationships are managed effectively with any new service lines. . **Business Impact:** + Ability to impact the business by influencing decisions through advice/quality of work produced by self/others. + Able to maintain a reputation for quality and delivery of their expertise to the business. + Assists in the definition of strategy and evolution and associated infrastructure investments for Group/LoB. + Responsible for engineering delivery plans for a small project. + Assists with the transformation strategy for a network, platform or technology discipline in own area of expertise. **Authority/Decision Making:** + Works under general direction within a clear framework of accountability. Substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. + Plans own work, to meet given objectives and processes. + Budget responsibility varying depending on lines of business and project delivery responsibility. **Qualifications:** + May have a degree qualification (engineering/science) or has served a technical apprenticeship and/or obtained NVQ and/or further education technical qualifications (i.e. HND). + Qualified to be and possibly member of a professional engineering/science institution and working towards chartered engineer accreditation. Relevant professional experience. **Skills/Experience:** + Ability to interact successfully at all levels within the BT Service organization. + Strong skills on MC Office suite of tools + Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills at senior level down to the operational ‘coal face’. + Good presentation skills + Good analytical skills + Excellent people and relationship Management Skills – ability to build, maintain and influence. + Good administrative skills + Essential financial and commercial management skills + Practical experience of process management + Good understanding of ITIL disciplines and willingness to gaining accreditation – must have used in practice already. + Practical experience on Continuous Service Improvement Plan (CSIP) methods and techniques. + Extensive experience in managing multiple complex supplier relationships demonstrating major success in selection, project, in-life and exit/termination activities + Wide experience in negotiating and influencing at all levels, including senior stakeholder, in blue-chip commercial environments + Demonstrable experience in managing teams in fast moving, technology led organizations + A highly developed commercial/financial and service background + Familiar and confident in managing large budgets + Ability to build strong working relationships and teamwork across the organization to support the delivery of individual and organizational objectives. + Experience in delivering governance and reporting processes across internal Suppliers. **Job:** _IT, Systems and Security_ **Title:** _Supplier Manager_ **Location:** _India-India-Kolkata-Kolkata_ **Requisition ID:** _87096_
