The Big Challenge is an English language contest for students between the ages of 11 and 16 and is held every year in May in schools across France, Germany, Austria, Spain and Sweden. Each year more than 50,000 students take part in the contest across Europe. Created in France in 1999 by a group of English teachers, our main purpose is to motivate students learning English with a fun and educational experience. Next year we are launching the contest in the Netherlands. The contest is organized by our small international team in our head office in Paris. We work closely with our partners, major European publishers, and develop different games and apps to help students practise all year long.
