About the Role
We are looking for a technically oriented Project Manager who can manage not just a single team, but an entire chain of interconnected services and teams. This role is ideal for a specialist with strong systems thinking, capable of navigating complex products, understanding architectural dependencies, and ensuring stable cross-functional coordination across the entire system.
What You’ll Do
- You will work with teams of 5–8 people on average, including ML engineers, mathematical engineers, backend developers, and analysts.
- Manage end-to-end processes within a large-scale product: track how changes in one service impact adjacent teams, identify dependencies, and prevent them from becoming blockers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams: define requirements, manage timelines at the intersection of departments, negotiate priorities, and balance competing expectations.
- Break down complex tasks, ensure high-quality task descriptions in Jira, and maintain accurate and up-to-date task statuses.
- Identify process bottlenecks before they become critical issues and propose practical solutions.
- Escalate issues in a timely manner with a clear understanding of root causes and suggested resolutions.
Who We’re Looking For
- A Project Manager with 3+ years of experience managing projects with complex architecture and multiple interconnected components.
- Strong technical background: degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or hands-on experience as a developer, QA engineer, or systems analyst.
- Deep understanding of Agile principles and the ability to apply them pragmatically based on business goals and process value.
- Confident user of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).
- A proactive specialist who takes ownership of processes and team efficiency, identifies improvement areas, and drives solutions independently.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Experience in fintech or product-based IT companies.
- PMP, IPMA, or CSM certifications.
What we offer
- Flexible schedule - you choose when to start your day;
- Relocation to Bilbao, Spain for you and your family, with full support at every stage (documents, housing, adaptation, even pets);
- Unlimited vacation - take time off when you really need it;
- A culture of trust and respect for professionals, with no micromanagement;
- A modern office in a cozy district, regular team events and off-sites;
- Growth and participation in architectural decisions, challenging tasks, and a strong team you can learn from.
