The Better Energy Homes Programme is focussed on supporting Ireland in reaching its Climate Action Plan goals for 2030 and beyond by offering a range of individual energy efficiency upgrade grants to residential property owners. The position will play a key role in supporting the Better Energy Homes Engineer and Programme Manager with the day-to-day management of the scheme and supporting the role out of new initiatives and systems, underpinned by Governance and Compliance structures. As Programme Executive for the Better Energy Homes Programme, you will be involved in the day to day running of the Programme including ongoing quality management, ensuring efficient Programme processes, development of continuous process improvements, development of IT reports, liaising with third party stakeholders, among other duties. This position will report to the Better Energy Homes Engineer. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI's targets under the Climate Action Plan.Essential RequirementsThe successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:An honours degree (a minimum NFQ level 8 or greater) in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Energy Management, and minimum of 3 years directly relevant experience working in a similar programme or on retrofitting or energy-related projects. ORAn ordinary degree (a minimum NFQ level 7 or greater) in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Energy Management, and minimum of 5 years directly relevant experience working in a similar programme or on retrofitting or energy-related projects.ORA third level certificate (a minimum NFQ Level 6 or greater) in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Energy Management, and minimum of 8 years directly relevant experience working in a similar programme or on retrofitting or energy-related projects.Experience of working in cross functional teams developing organisational relationships. Strong project management skills and knowledge of technical development, including change management, scope, risk, and process management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presenting, public speaking, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Well-developed IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Desirable RequirementsA post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Energy Management. Experience in supporting IT projects.Experience in developing Power BI reports and managing dashboard reporting.Experience of lean process management.Experience of working in energy-related policy environment across the public sector, academia or industry.Proficiency in the Irish Language.Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.Eligibility to WorkThe SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland.
