Job description: Core Asset Consulting’s Client, a financial services firm, has an opportunity for a risk associate to join their Edinburgh team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for provision of effective Business Risk and Control monitoring and reporting function within Global Operations. This role offers you the opportunity to advance and develop your knowledge of UK, Europe and Global Operational Risk. Essential: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a focus in related field preferred * 1-3 years of related experience * Working knowledge of an Operational Risk based controls testing programme * Working knowledge and understanding of the UK Regulatory Framework * Working knowledge and understand of the custody and fund administration industry * Proficiency in Microsoft applications * Exhibit strong attention to detail Core responsibilities: * Administration, analysis, reporting and review of the data for submission to formal Risk Forums * Provide support for Internal/External Audits including Corporate Audit * Assist in providing effective guidance to the operational units for which the role is responsible * Develop and retain effective working relationships and communications with Global Operations & Business Risk staff * A detailed understanding of the scope of Business Risk responsibilities * Ensure appropriate management information is produced and reviewed at appropriate intervals * Review client reporting at appropriate intervals * Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability in performing the role * Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your behaviour * Provide appropriate management information as required to support business unit decision-making Benefits: Job reference: 9072 To apply for this vacancy applicants must be eligible to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
