This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Software Developer to gain valuable practical skills in the exciting disruptive technology of The Internet of Things. You will be mentored and supported throughout to update the automated software testing capabilities of the company, ahead of a brand-new product launch. This experience, for a leader in remote monitoring systems will be a great addition to your CV and boost to your career prospects.

• Developing software for testing of new electronic sensors
• Assisting with coding and testing of software, using Java (device) and Python (device environment)
• Integrating new solutions and optimisations
• Coordinating with the development team

The Host Company
This company has made its success by developing world class telemetry and telematics device for the remote management, surveillance and control of valuable assets such as unmanned telecommunications site, power generation equipment and other industrial machinery. They recently merged with 2 other companies to form a group able to enter into new market and accelerate their international expansion. The new group has over £15 Mil turnover and employs 150 staff across UK.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications or similar
• Good communication skills, both written and oral
• Time management skills, with a team-working spirit
• Organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Proactive in nature, dynamic, able to work using own initiative
• Experience of Python and/or Java
• Understanding of Java micro addition is a bonus
