We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator (LAMP / LEMP / PHP / WebOps), who has proven commercial Linux systems administration / Devops experience, to join one of the UKs leading Digital Agencies, maintaining and scaling their Linux / Web servers and the services they run.

The successful Linux Dev Ops / Linux Systems Administrator will become an active member of my clients’ large development team (PHP / LAMP / LEMP), and take responsibility for managing their platform across multiple data centres using Puppet configuration management, as well as developing and maintaining automated build processes, and internal services.

The ideal DevOps/WebOps will have extensive Linux knowledge utilised within a Web Operations environment (WebOps), with proven commercial experience in a Systems Admin role, including maintaining, developing and supporting Linux-based systems (Red Hat / CentOS or variants). You will have excellent knowledge of internet technologies and how they work at protocol level, and experience hosting with the LAMP stack (Linux / Apache / MySQL / PHP) or LEMP stack (Linux / Nginx / MariaDB / PHP)

Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Riak, Couchbase, ElasticSearch etc) would be highly beneficial, as would MySQL & PCI Compliance knowledge. It is also essential that the successful DevOps Engineer has confidence with the Command Line on either Mac or Windows 8/Fedora Linux PC, as the Development and Production environments use Linux without a GUI.

Bonus points for experience with off the shelf CMS too (Joomla, Wordpress, Magento, Drupal).
