We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with extensive technical expertise to maintain one of the company’s most important platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for writing maintainable, scalable, and performant code, ensuring the accurate implementation of existing designs with pixel-perfect precision to maintain visual consistency. Additionally, you will lead the migration of existing code from older frameworks while ensuring that the new codebase avoids the pitfalls and limitations of the previous implementations.Lead Frontend Development: Own the frontend development of our main application, setting high standards for code quality, performance, and visual consistency.Code Migration: Spearhead the migration from legacy frameworks (such as Vue 2) to Vue 3, making informed architectural decisions to avoid past pitfalls.UI Precision: Collaborate closely with UI/UX teams to transform designs into functional code, ensuring strict adherence to design principles and visual consistency across all devices.Scalable Codebase: Build modular, reusable components and optimise the application for maintainability and scalability.Testing and Documentation: Leverage Jest (or similar libraries) to create robust test coverage, maintain code reliability, and ensure quality assurance. Use Storybook (or similar tools) to document and organise UI components for team-wide visibility and reuse.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside backend developers and cross-functional teams, particularly in coordinating efforts for frontend/backend integration and occasional support on Django-based tasks.Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in frontend development.HTML: Skilled in building interactive, reactive UIs that support dynamic content and responsive design principles.CSS & SASS: Strong technical expertise with focus on performance optimization and maintainability. Proficient in modern layout techniques.JavaScript & TypeScript: Advanced expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.Vue 3 (Composition API): Proficiency in Vue 3 and a strong understanding of the Composition API.Testing Frameworks: Experience with Jest or similar testing libraries to guarantee quality and reliability.Component Libraries: Familiarity with Storybook or similar tools to document and organise UI components.Other Frameworks: Working knowledge of AngularJS, jQuery, and Vue 2 to support legacy code and assist with migration tasks when needed.Proficiency with Git for collaborative development (ex: branches, pull requests, merges)Fluent spoken English, and good written English skills - must be able to communicate clearly with colleagues from all over the world.Basic understanding of the Django Web framework to assist with migration tasks when needed is advantageous, but not essential.Attractive remunerationPrivate health insurance subject to successful completion of probation (6 months)Free fruit, snacks and discounted in-office healthy meals (and some less healthy ones!)Exceptional learning opportunities.
