Tripadvisor is looking for an mid-level developer / Software Engineer II to join our fast-moving Restaurants team. In this role, you will help us build, upgrade, and sustain our consumer-facing products, visited by hundreds of millions of travelers each month. These products provide travelers and diners with the information they need for the best guidance on their considered meals and dream vacations.Do you like building features end to end? Most of our engineers release code to production every few days and we have a daily release cycle.Design and implement the technical solutions for projectsWork closely with our product and design teams to define feature specificationsBe responsible for the quality of code you shipActively provide feedback on best practices and design patterns to your peers in the form of code reviewsDevelop, deploy and maintain full stack implementations of owner and consumer-facing featuresBe responsible for all aspects of software engineering, from design to implementation, QA, operations and maintenance.Work alongside other engineering groups located around the world. Skills and Experience:Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent3-4+ years of large scale, full life cycle development experienceSolid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO designExperience building microservices, event-driven and domain-oriented architecturesExperience with full stack web development experience. The team develops with JavaScript, React/Typescript, Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Opensearch and more!Willingness and ability to take on new technologiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsSense of ownership, urgency and pride in your workCloud Platform experience (AWS) desired.
