Talbot Hotel Midleton, part of the Talbot Collection, is currently recruiting for an experienced Reception Supervisor on a full time basis. Ideal candidates must be available to work upto 39 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
Main Duties:
- To ensure the smooth running of the Reception.
- Welcome guests and visitors to the front lobby of the facility, record their information and choose a room or rooms for them based on their needs.
- Coordinate solutions quickly when guests experience problems in their room by working with housekeeping and/or service staff.
- Collect the guest's payment using either credit/debits cards, cash or checking account information for rooms at the end of each stay and ask for a room deposit when necessary.
- Settle the facility register at the end of each shift or day by counting the drawer, printing receipts and running financial activity reports.
- Ensure that extra services ordered by the guests, such as alcoholic drinks, entertainment and food, are properly accounted for and charged on the final bill.
- Communicate with other hotel staff, such as housekeeping or maintenance, when rooms are ready to be cleaned or repaired in preparation for a new guest.
- To have a good working knowledge of how to deal with groups -checking group bills.
- To work closely with Rooms Division Manager to ensure a consistency of communication is maintained.
- To ensure all standard operational procedures are followed by all staff on duty.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints, following through to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction
- Be familiar with Hot Soft system
The successful candidate will have:
- 2 years' Hotel Reception Experience.
- Friendly and professional work attitude.
- Fluent English essential - written and spoken.
- Must be available to work variable shifts.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
This position will involve shift and weekend work.
